Dr. J.P. van Hazel

Originally from Holland, Dr. J.P. van Hazel has always been passionate for dentistry and its exciting new technologies. After graduating from the University of Amsterdam in 1977, J.P. wrote the Canadian Dental Board exam that same year and has been practicing in Cambridge ever since. Dr. van Hazel is a pioneer of CEREC computerized dentistry, with St. Andrews Dental being one of the first Canadian dental offices to offer sophisticated porcelain restorations to patients in one sitting. Dr. van Hazel has extensive experience with oral surgery, with particular focus in wisdom tooth extraction and periodontal surgery, all under the comfort of local anaesthetic. Dr. van Hazel is also the past president of the Canadian Academy of Computerized Dentistry and is proud to offer his patients innovative aesthetic solutions including implants and Invisalign orthodontics.

There is not one dull moment with Dr. van Hazel. He recently fulfilled his adventurous dream of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family and getting involved in the community as a long-standing Rotarian.
